Overview
This privacy notice explains how personal data is processed on this website. Only data necessary for operation and the stated purposes is collected (data minimization). No analytics or tracking tools are used.
Hosting
This website is hosted in the EU (Germany). The hosting provider acts as a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR.
Contact Form
When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, and message. The purpose is to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contact context) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in communication). Data is retained only for the duration of processing and a reasonable period for record-keeping (typically up to 3 years after the communication ends, unless legal retention obligations apply).
Email delivery is carried out by Mailgun (Sinch) as a processor. Mailgun may process data outside the EU; in that case, transfer is governed by the EU Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses.
Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
The contact form is protected against automated submissions by Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Opening the contact form establishes a connection to Cloudflare servers. In the process, your IP address, information about your browser and device, and information about your interaction with the page are processed in order to tell whether the input comes from a human or from a program. According to the provider, Turnstile does not set cookies for advertising purposes and uses the collected data neither for profiling nor for personalised advertising.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in preventing spam and abusive use of the form. Processing may involve servers in the United States; Cloudflare bases that transfer on the EU Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information is available in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Retention and Deletion
Personal data is deleted once the purpose no longer applies and no legal retention obligations (e.g. tax or commercial) or the assertion of legal claims require longer storage. Details on retention periods are set out in the relevant processing sections above.
Your Rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for Austria, the competent authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
Legal Bases
Relevant provisions include in particular Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). Austrian data protection law (DSG) also applies where relevant.
Security
Data is transmitted over TLS (https). Appropriate technical and organizational measures are in place to protect processing.
